How To FundRaise #FTK

Donate here!
The biggest and most impactful way we can help Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is through fundraising efforts! We know that sometimes fundraising can be a daunting and confusing task so we want to help you be the most successful fundraiser you can be! This tab has different resources, tips, and ideas to help you either get started fundraising or continue your efforts!

Why is it important to fundraise?
Every year, Le Bonheur treats over 250,000 children is our local area. Their emergency department is the second busiest in the country and their world-renowned doctors work tireless to provide quality care so these kids have a chance at a better life. No kid deserves to be in a hospital bed, scared for their life. They deserve to have a happy and healthy childhood and to be out in the world spreading love and joy. But unfortunately, for some, they have bigger challenges to face. The special thing about Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is that they never turn a child away for their family’s inability to pay. They treat every kid regardless of their financial situation; therefore, they rely heavily on generous donations and the fundraising efforts of passionate and caring people like you!

Letter/Email/Social Media Post Template
Dear __________,

Did you know that over 250,000 kids are treated at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital every year? Or that regardless of each family's ability to pay Le Bonheur treats every child that comes through their doors? This year I am lucky enouh to be involved in an organization that helps Le Bonheur fulfill that mission. Mississippi State Dance Marathon is a group of students who believe that every child deserves the chance to be a kid and that no child should have to be cooped up in a hospital worried about living to the next day. I have taken the pledge, along with hundreds of other students, to stay on my feet for 9 hours straight on Feb. 9, 2019 in honor of all the kids - past, present, and future - in a hospital fighting for their chance to live. We stand to show them that they are not fighting alone. Together we have set out to raise $80,000 -- $1 for every kid who will visit the ER at Le Bonheur this year. I have set my personal fundraising goal at $_______ [insert significance of goal]. I am inviting you to join me in helping these kids by supporting me in my fundraising efforts! No donation is too small. When you consider that $5 can buy a teddy bear to comfort a child going through surgery or that $10 can buy a pack of preemie diaper for the babies in the NICU, you realize that every dollar makes a difference. You don't have to be a doctor or nurse to save a child's life.
